Jehoshaphat seeks an oracle from four hundred prophets who predict success. Micaiah is consulted, confirms their prediction and predicts the death of the king in battle. In spite of the fact that Ahab is disguised as an ordinary soldier he is killed in battle and buried in Samaria. Jehoshaphat reigns in Judah for twenty five years.
