Day 52: Deuteronomy 3-4

Day 52: Deuteronomy 3-4

1 comment:

  1. As the Israelites move in and out of battle they never forget "what great nation is there that has a god so near to it as the Lord our God is to us?". In their intimate encounters with Yahweh they "heard the sound of words, but saw no form". Their God is that beyond which cannot be imagined. Hence they caution against being"drawn away and worship" that which is seen. In remembering the Yahweh who led them out of Egypt they speak of a merciful God who will not "forget the convenant". They are not distracted by the Assyrian God or the God of the Canaanites. "There is no other besides him", their invisible God.
