Day 30: Leviticus 5-7

Day 30: Leviticus 5-7

1 comment:

  1. Besides guilt, sin, and peace offerings to a wrathful God, Israel now turns its attention to how they treat each other "if he has oppressed his neighbor or found what was lost and lied about it". Yahweh still lives in their midst "the fire on the altar shall be kept burning". And, holiness is a new awareness. "In a holy place it shall be eaten" "Whatever touches its flesh shall be holy." Holiness cannot be transferred in an earthen vessel. "It shall be broken." Yet, "the bronze vessel, that shall be scoured". What is holiness? Or are they learning about cooking utensils and about spoilage of meat after three days?
