Day 158 Psalms 25-30

Day 158 Psalms 25-30

1 comment:

  1. Psalm 25 we pray for guidance and help. “Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my savior, and for you I wait all the day.” The innocent man prays Psalm 26 for protection. “I walk in integrity; redeem me, and have pity on me.” With Psalm 27 we declare our trust in God. “The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom should I fear? The Lord is my life’s refuge; of whom should I be afraid?” Thanking God in advance, the psalmist is Psalm 28 asked that he be spared punishment with the wicked. In Psalm 29 we hear the voice of the Lord in the thunder, the thunder bolt, and the earthquake. The psalmist reminds us of the awe-inspiring spectacle of weather where we feel humbled by the overwhelming force and majesty of the mother nature. What then must be the power of the Creator on this universe? In Psalm 30 the psalmist, having been struck with a near fatal illness, thanks God for his recovery. “You changed my mourning into dancing.”
