It is a poem on wisdom or a hymn of praise to wisdom, surely worthy of the author of the Book of Job. Is it placed here to indicate that Job is beginning to learn where wisdom is found? Has he moved to the stillness behind his thoughts? Well, not exactly. Now he concludes his oration in lamenting about the good old days in contrast to his present misery.
