Job continues to protest his genuine innocence. The three friends ceased to answer Job. Added later to the book of Job is a fourth speaker, Elihu, who attempts to locate suffering in the divine plan. He introduces us to angels, our mediators. Not even Elihu has thought of the possibility that the God of his faith is not necessarily the true God. What a difference a thought makes! One thought fueled with humility and courage could clear the mind and open the heart to the Real Presence. But, I would not dare to say that we then have no need of angels. I would dare to say that mediation is just one task of my multi-tasking guardian angel.
