Day 157 Psalms 19-24

Day 157 Psalms 19-24

  1. Psalm 19:3 “Day pours out the word” as if under divine inspiration, each day proclaims to the next the message of God’s grandeur. Psalm 19:4 “Not a word” as if the heavens have a language of their own that is understood throughout the worlds, without a physical sound heard. Psalm 22 is a messianic psalm. It begins with the famous words “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” Psalm 23 is the famous “The Lord is my shepherd: I shall not want.” Psalm 24 reads like a hymn with the refrain “Who is this king of glory? Psalm 24:4 “Who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity?” How much time have we devoted to achieving vain things believing they will have true value? Yet, all too soon, do we not realize these things have transient and superficial satisfaction?
