Chapter 5 tells us about the black sheep in the family, Ananias and Sapphira who stand in stark contrast to Barnabas. Then the black sheep abruptly both dropped dead. In those days the church was a home for saints not a haven for sinners! The apostles grow in power and have a second clash with Judaism. Arrested for the second time the prisoners are released by an angel who commands them to “go and stand in the temple and speak to the people all the words of this Life”. Hence, preachers should not be nagging from the pulpit, but rather telling us Who God is and Whose we are.
