Day 358 2 John, 3 John, Jude

Day 358 2 John, 3 John, Jude

1 comment:

  1. 2 John addresses the congregations who are meetings in homes. Visiting preachers and lecturers were often deceivers. The elder is concerned lest the Christian virtue of hospitality be used as a cover for these intruders of false teaching. 3 John addresses the same issue in Gaius’ church. The elder takes pains to stress the truth which Gaius follows and the love which he practices. In both letters the question of Christian hospitality is raised. Jude was produced in a crisis to defend the Christian faith against ungodly persons who threatened it by corrupt doctrine and practices.
