Day 269 Micah 5-7

Day 269 Micah 5-7

1 comment:

  1. Rev. Michael Piazza says in Liberating Word “You might never have heard of Micah had it not been for this verse in chapter 6. The prophet begins by scoring the religious forms and expressions by which people believed they could win God’s favor. Then, in verse 8, the prophet is very plainspoken, cutting right through all the visions and symbols:
    God has told you, O mortal, what is good;
    And what does the Lord require of you
    But to do justi e, and to love kindness,
    And to walk humbly with your God?
    “God has told you what is god and what does the Lord require of you?” No ambiguity, no second-guessing, no need for anyone to interpret it for us. What does God expect from us? What does God require?
    1. Do justice.
    2. Love kindness.
    3. Walk in humility with God.
